There is a huge arena with millions of people. We are all dressed in white. When a buzzer goes off we all have to get to the center. If you go too quickly you will get squished and die. If you go too late you will be executed from the game. We do this several times. Then all the sudden this flood of black goo starts flooding the area and the mass swarm of people start heading for the exits. It’s chaos. As I head further and further down one of the exit tunnels the walls around me get tighter and tighter and feel like wet flesh. Pretty soon it gets almost impossible to continue to squeeze my way forward or even breathe. I finally see some light again and I break through the surface like being born again into another world. I start running through a crowed city.
The dream seems to represent the feeling of being stuck in a situation where you have to compete with others, but the consequences of doing so incorrectly can lead to death or failure. The white clothing worn by all in the dream may suggest a sense of purity and innocence, but the pressure to perform and survive can cause chaos and panic.
The flood of black goo that starts to flood the area could represent a sense of being overwhelmed or suffocated by negative emotions or outside influences. The tight walls that feel like wet flesh in the exit tunnel may symbolize being trapped in a situation that feels suffocating and inescapable.
However, breaking through the surface and entering into a new world suggests the possibility of overcoming this feeling and starting anew, perhaps with a sense of freedom or liberation. The crowded city that you then run through may represent a sense of being responsive to new opportunities or heading towards your goals.
